Answers about KVM VPS resources, billing, server administration, backups and deployment.
A KVM VPS is an isolated virtual server created with Kernel-based Virtual Machine technology. It has allocated CPU, memory, and storage resources, its own operating system, and full root access, giving you more control than standard shared hosting.
Our VPS plans are self-managed. HostViber assists with provisioning, platform incidents, network connectivity, and account matters, while you are responsible for operating-system administration, software configuration, security hardening, updates, and backups unless a separate management service has been agreed.
Yes. You can select from 59 active locations across North America, Europe, Asia Pacific, the Middle East, South America, Africa, and Oceania. Available plans and configurations may differ by location, so confirm your preferred location on the order page before checkout.
Moving between locations usually requires a new VPS in the destination region and a data migration. Contact our support team before ordering so we can confirm availability and explain the practical migration options for your server.
Available operating-system images depend on the selected plan and location. Compatible control panels such as cPanel or Plesk may be offered as paid license add-ons and are not included unless they are specifically shown in the plan or order configuration.
You are responsible for maintaining current, independent backups of your server and data. We recommend using an automated off-server backup solution and regularly testing that your backups can be restored successfully.
Resource upgrades are available where the selected location and VPS platform support them. Some changes may require moving to another plan or a short maintenance window. Contact support to confirm the upgrade path before making changes to a production server.
Additional IP addresses may be available at an extra cost, subject to the selected location, technical availability, and a valid use case. Please contact support to confirm availability for your preferred VPS location.
On our standard VPS plans, outbound SMTP port 25 is permanently blocked in every location. Other standard SMTP submission ports, including ports 465, 587, and 2525, are open, subject to your server firewall and mail-service configuration. If you require a VPS with port 25 open by default, choose our Unmetered VPS; port 25 is open on Unmetered VPS plans in all available locations. All email use must comply with our Acceptable Use Policy and anti-spam requirements.
Compare every resource rather than choosing by CPU count alone. RAM, NVMe storage and bandwidth allocations differ between plans, and a plan with more memory may have less storage. Include operating-system and application requirements when sizing your server. contact support for help checking a specific workload.
The monthly price covers one month. Annual prices show the total for a 12-month term paid upfront; where an annual price is unavailable, contact support. Review renewal pricing, any setup charges, taxes and selected licences or extras before checkout.
A VPS gives you server administration access; it is not a shared hosting cPanel account. Operating-system and control-panel choices depend on the order configuration. A paid panel licence is included only if it is explicitly listed in the plan or your order.
The hosting money-back guarantee excludes VPS. VPS services are normally non-refundable once provisioned; exceptions and other conditions are explained in the Refund Policy. Check your resources, location and software requirements before ordering.
